Cycling Engstingen
Sir Elton Hercules John (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947) is a British singer, songwriter and pianist. His music and showmanship have had a significant, lasting impact on the music industry, and his songwriting partnership with lyricist Bernie Taupin is one of the most successful in history.
Engstingen is a municipality in the Tübingen administrative region (Regierungsbezirk) in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It lies in the Swabian Jura (plateau), about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south of Reutlingen. It was formed on January 1, 1975, from the former independent municipalities of Großengstingen, Kleinengstingen, and Kohlstetten. Engstingen is located on the northern edge of the Swabian Jura, at an altitude of 680–750 metres (2,230–2,460 ft) on the Alb plateau near the Alb edge in the valley of Ur-Lauter, approximately 15 km south of the town of Reutlingen. Engstingen is a wonderful place to live and work. Having been in this area for about 6 years there are still hidden gems that I have yet to visit. I often muse that Engstingen is a village that often carries on like something much larger. The larger point is that if you find yourself visiting Stuttgart Germany; take some time to check out this beautiful gem tucked away in the Swabian Alps.
