We can`t pick our parents, but we do pick our children to a certain degree. Sometimes we get lucky and they are more than we could hope for. Better than us in every way.  As parents we have to allow them to grow and make their own choices. It´s difficult because we don´t want them to have a life filled with pain and regret.
