Prince, while widely known for his musical contributions, was also a fashion icon. Early on, he dressed in very flashy costumes to boost his image and record sales. Later, he dialed it back and adopted a more tailored suit look, while still maintaining his personal style. Check out his video To The Nines and you will see just what I mean. According to GQ, in terms of Prince’s wider cultural influence, note his fingerprints on the opulence of Balmain, the polka dot prints at Henry Holland, the embellishment at Gucci, or the suits at Haider Ackermann. And it's not just at the fashion houses. You can see his influence, direct or otherwise, all over the outfits musicians wear today. Just look at Orville Peck’s fringed mask (remember Prince's chainmail police hat from 1993?), Harry Styles’ gender-bending wardrobe, Frank Ocean’s make-up, or the vintage Versace two-pieces beloved by British rappers. There is no doubt that Prince lives on in basically every aspect of World culture.
