Sometimes trying to do something good has consequenses. Two days ago I tried to repair my brakes and that didn´t go to plan. No worries, I decided to simply take it to a qualified mechanic. Well yesterday while riding it (with only the front brakes btw) I guess I loaded it down and caused a bigger problem. Somehow the rear fender got pulled into the wheel and was completely destroyed. Today the plan is to take it back to where I purchased it and see if they can replace the fender. I will keep you posted.
